Kangana Ranaut Accuses Superstars of Bullying Filmmakers in Bollywood
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 21 (NationPress) Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut is known for her outspoken views on topics that many avoid discussing. In her most recent Instagram update, the 'Queen' star claimed that superstars intimidate filmmakers in the Indian film industry.
Kangana observed that unlike in Hollywood, where filmmakers often have names that rival or exceed those of leading actors, the scenario is quite different in Bollywood.
The 'Emergency' actress emphasized that Indian filmmakers are frequently underappreciated for their contributions and are often overworked and inadequately compensated.
She took to her Instagram Stories to express her admiration for director Aditya Dhar following the immense success of his latest film, "Dhurandhar 2".
Kangana noted, "The most remarkable aspect of the success of Dhurandhar is that Aditya Dhar is a distinguished director. In Hollywood, top directors are often more prominent than superstar actors, e.g., Spielberg, Tarantino, Nolan. We fail to grant our filmmakers the respect or recognition they deserve. They are overworked, underpaid, and bullied by superstars. Consequently, I rarely meet young people, whether insiders or outsiders, who aspire to become filmmakers or cinematographers or any other technical roles. (sic)"
She added, "While many claim to possess talent, they primarily wish to be actors. Here is a superstar filmmaker shining brighter than any hero. Today, countless youngsters are inspired by his story, which will elevate the film industry! Salutations, sir @adityadharfilms," Kangana concluded.
Interestingly, while Kangana praised Dhar, she did not tag lead actor Ranveer Singh or any other cast member from "Dhurandhar 2".
Before Kangana, notable figures from the entertainment sector, including Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR, commended Dhar for his extraordinary cinematic vision.
