Having graced Bollywood for 25 remarkable years, Kareena recently announced her 68th film. On September 25, she posted images from her inaugural day on set with filmmaker Meghna Gulzar and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran.

A video from the script reading of her upcoming project was also shared, along with photos featuring the two actors. She captioned it, “Day 1, 68th film Daayra with the wonderful @meghnagulzar and @therealprithvi … Please send your love and blessings.” The film, Daayra, profoundly explores societal complexities, tackling urgent and disquieting truths that resonate with contemporary times.

This gripping crime-drama thriller unfolds the age-old struggle between crime, punishment, and justice. Audiences have high hopes for both Kareena and Prithviraj to deliver intense performances in their pivotal roles. Earlier this year, while discussing the film, Kareena stated, “As I celebrate 25 incredible years in Hindi cinema, I’m excited to announce my next venture, Daayra, with the remarkable Meghna Gulzar at the helm. I have long admired her work, from Talvar to Raazi, and being directed by her is a dream fulfilled.”

She also highlighted the chance to work alongside Prithviraj, calling it a significant moment. “I’m captivated by the film’s bold, thought-provoking narrative.
