Mumbai, Oct 13 (NationPress) Actor Kartik Aaryan experienced an emotional milestone as he received the Filmfare Best Actor Award surrounded by his parents.

Feeling overwhelmed, the 'Dhamaka' star shared his gratitude and reminisced about the journey that led him to this significant achievement, transforming the event into a poignant celebration of his success. He shared a video of his first-ever Filmfare Best Actor award on Instagram, accompanied by a heartfelt message. The actor wrote, “This hits different when you remember where you started. That night… every emotion I’d ever felt found its voice. From the small-town boy who only dreamt of this stage, to the man living it — thank you, universe. I didn’t just speak that night; I felt every word. This speech wasn’t prepared. It was live.”

In the video, Kartik expressed, “There are certain moments in life where you feel that this is happening in real and this is at night where I actually feel that this is a dream. The more I talk about that film, the more I talk about you, Kabir sir, that is less. When I first heard about the story of Murlikant Petkar's journey, I heard a story about a man who never stopped believing in himself.”

“When others stopped believing in him, it made me feel personal. I don’t know how to put it in words, but that journey has been the best of my life. And the two years we spent together, I owe it to Kabir sir. He is one of the finest directors in Indian cinema. I am so lucky to have worked under your guidance, sir. You don’t just create frames; you create worlds. It means so much that I had this opportunity.”

Kartik continued, “I want to thank Sajid sir and Vardha ma'am, who were pillars of strength for the film. After so long, I think 50 years, the story of Murlikant Petkar was finally being told. When our film was released, they received the Lifetime Arjuna Award.”

“My mom and dad are here. I am so happy this moment is happening in front of them. We’ve watched TV since childhood, holding a film trophy. I think we always dreamed of this moment. When I became an actor, the first thing on my mind was when I would receive a film trophy for Best Actor. Thank you so much for this.”
