Mumbai, Oct 3 (NationPress) Actress Lucky Mehta, who plays the role of Suchitra in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi ‘2, describes her character in the series as ‘justified negative’.

The actress also provided fans a sneak peek into her character’s forthcoming narrative, where her shades of grey stem from love rather than malice.

Expressing her views, Lucky shared with IANS, “Suchitra (Suchu) might be depicted as negative, yet her motivations arise from a profound love for her sister. She is prepared to go to any length to fulfill her sister Noina’s desires, even if it means opposing the family or crossing certain boundaries. Now that Noina has found love, Suchitra will maneuver circumstances to bring her sister closer to Mihir. This will undoubtedly spark intense drama between the families, but in Suchitra’s mind, it’s all justified for her sister’s happiness.”

The actress added, “Upon first learning about the role, I genuinely hoped to portray a positive character onscreen. However, as I explored Suchitra’s character, I came to see her as what I would term ‘justified negative’. From her viewpoint, she isn’t being malicious; she is merely fixated on ensuring her sister’s feelings are acknowledged and her happiness is guaranteed. Although her actions may not always be correct, they derive from a protective sisterly instinct that I believe many can relate to, especially for their elder siblings.”

Through her intricate performance, Lucky Mehta is bringing to life the complexities of Suchitra, a character who blurs the lines between right and wrong, propelled by an unconditional love for her sister.
