Chennai, Nov 29 (NationPress) The creative team behind director Jithin K Jose's Malayalam film 'Kalamkaval', starring Malayalam icon Mammootty and Vinayakan, unveiled the lyrical video for the song 'Redback' on Saturday.

On their official Instagram account, Mammootty Kampany, the production company of the esteemed actor, shared, "REDBACK Lyric Video from #Kalamkaval Out Now. Music & Lyrics - Jithin K Jose. Singer - Adyan Sayeed."

'Redback,' which draws inspiration from the Redback spider, features lyrics penned by Jithin K Jose, who also composed the music. This profound and intricate song is performed by Adyan Sayeed.

The lyrics suggest that the Redback spider serves as a metaphor for Mammootty's character in the film.

Previously, the film's release date was set for November 27 of this year, but it has now been rescheduled to premiere worldwide on December 5.

The film has received a U/A certification from the Censor Board, with Mammootty confirming, "#Kalamkaval Censored with U/A 16+ Certificate. In Cinemas Soon."

Since the release of its teaser, the film has generated significant buzz among fans and cinema enthusiasts.

The teaser starts with a knock on a door, where a Tamilian opens up to ask, "Who are you?" Subsequently, a police officer questions another unidentified officer, "Are you the one who's Nath?" The visuals then shift to Mammootty and Vinayakan. While Vinayakan portrays a police officer with a serious demeanor, Mammootty appears as a composed figure, observing someone in the background.

This film marks Mammootty Kampany's seventh production, boasting the tagline, “The venom beneath”.

Earlier this year, the team revealed the second look poster of Mammootty. In the announcement, Mammootty Kampany remarked, "Some Faces Raise Questions… Not Answers...Presenting The Second Look Poster of #Kalamkaval Directed by Jithin K Jose."

Filming for 'Kalamkaval' concluded in November last year, with the narrative and screenplay crafted by Jithin K Jose and Jishnu Sreekumar. The editing is done by Praveen Prabhakar, while Faisal Ali handles cinematography. The music score for this thrilling film is composed by the talented Mujeeb Majeed, with action sequences choreographed by Action Santhosh.

The project has been a topic of discussion, with claims that it will showcase Mammootty in an unprecedented role.
