Chennai, Sep 9 (NationPress) Actor Teja Sajja, who stars in the much-anticipated pan-Indian film Mirai, directed by Karthik Gattamaneni, has revealed that the film was produced for a mere 60 crores, despite popular belief that it exceeded 100 crores. Teja expressed admiration for the dedication of the entire team, stating, "We filmed this project over approximately 125 days on a budget of Rs 60 crore. If anyone had told me we could create a film of such quality with this budget, I would have been skeptical. However, my trust in Karthik made me a believer. He is an exceptional director and cinematographer."
Highlighting the team’s efficiency, Teja noted that they utilized only natural lighting for all outdoor scenes, saying, "Not a single artificial light was employed for any outdoor shots! Karthik excels at making the most of natural light." He humorously mentioned that he spent nearly 60 days without a caravan, adding, "We filmed in the Himalayas for three days, adjusting to the environment as needed."
Teja further elaborated on the challenging conditions, revealing that some sequences were shot in temperatures plummeting to -18 degrees. "We captured crucial scenes in freezing temperatures in the Himalayas," he stated.
The film has sparked significant excitement among fans and cinema enthusiasts alike. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, Mirai is anticipated to redefine the superhero genre.
For those unfamiliar, Manoj Manchu portrays the formidable villain, with Shriya Saran, Jayaram, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
Karthik Gattamaneni serves dual roles as both the director and cinematographer. He crafted the screenplay, while Manibabu Karanam contributed to the writing and dialogues. The visual splendor of Mirai is brought to life by Sri Nagendra Tangala, who leads the art department, and Sujith Kumar Kolli serves as the Executive Producer.
Produced by People Media Factory, known for hits like Karthikeya 2 and Jaat, Mirai marks a significant step in the studio’s Pan-India ambitions. The teaser has already showcased breathtaking visuals and a grand cinematic scale, hinting at a record number of VFX shots.
Set for a worldwide release on September 12, Mirai will be available in eight languages, and in both 2D and 3D formats.
