Mrunal Thakur Reminisces with Her Audition Clip from ‘Super 30’

Mumbai, Dec 26 (NationPress) Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur recently delighted her fans by revisiting the past and sharing her audition clip for the 2019 film ‘Super 30’.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, this biographical drama featured Hrithik Roshan as Anand Kumar, the mathematician renowned for founding the celebrated Super 30 program aimed at assisting underprivileged students. On Thursday, Mrunal posted a nostalgic video on her Instagram Stories, highlighting her audition for the film.

In the footage, director Vikas Bahl can be heard commending the actress, noting that she consistently distinguished herself throughout the selection process.

In the video, Vikas expresses to casting director Mukesh Chhabra, “I was captivated. At some point early on, I recognized she was the one. Although we auditioned her three or four times alongside other candidates, she consistently excelled.”

In ‘Super 30’, Mrunal played the role of Hrithik Roshan's romantic interest. The film narrates the inspiring story of Anand Kumar, the math genius who initiated the Super 30 program in Bihar to empower underprivileged students to fulfill their aspirations of passing the IIT entrance exams.

Mrunal disclosed in an interview that she was unaware of Hrithik Roshan’s involvement in the project during her audition. It wasn't until four months later that she learned of it, and her immediate thought was of the iconic song ‘Ik Pal Ka Jeena’ from Hrithik's debut film.

Released on July 12, 2019, ‘Super 30’ garnered widespread praise for its motivating narrative.

Starting her career in television, Mrunal became a household name through her vibrant portrayal of Bulbul in the beloved series ‘Kumkum Bhagya’. She subsequently made her film debut with ‘Love Sonia’. In addition to ‘Super 30’, she has delivered remarkable performances in films such as ‘Batla House’, ‘Sita Ramam’, and ‘Hi Nanna’.
