Mumbai, July 20 (NationPress) Actresses Niyati Fatnani and Akanksha Puri revealed some amusing behind-the-scenes anecdotes from their new web series, 'Rose Garden'.
In an exclusive chat with IANS, they were asked about their most comical and awkward experiences during the filming.
Niyati responded, "The funniest moment was when I had to tie her (Akanksha) up in a scene."
Akanksha concurred, noting that it was amusing due to her petite stature and reserved nature, even though people close to her recognize her strength.
During their discussion with IANS, Niyati elaborated, "I portray Geet, and she plays my elder sister, Simran. There was an emotional scene where I had to tie her up, and we both felt guilty doing it. I struggled to tie her correctly, and she picked me up from behind, quipping, 'Let me do biceps!' We had numerous entertaining moments with Manini ji and the rest of the crew. That chemistry will be evident on screen too."
They also discussed their motivations for accepting roles in 'Rose Garden'.
Niyati mentioned that both she and Akanksha were genuinely captivated by the script.
"The narrative is beautifully crafted. Each character has depth, a meaningful journey, and is highly relatable. Certain elements are inspired by real-life events, blended with fiction, making it engaging. It encompasses love, excitement—everything you expect in one series," she remarked.
Akanksha added, "Most importantly, it's a woman-centric narrative. For any performer, that's a goldmine. It centers around Geet, Simran, and Harleen—a mother and her two daughters—the entire plot is propelled by these women. When I received the role offer, I was fascinated by the character's multifaceted nature—sometimes negative, sometimes positive, but always emotional. That challenge motivated me to accept this role."
Directed by Niraj Gupta and Arshad Khan, 'Rose Garden' also features Manini Dey and Neel Motwani in significant roles.
