Los Angeles, March 22 (NationPress) Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow openly embraces her background as a product of nepotism.

During her acceptance speech at the 2026 New York Women in Film & Television Muse Awards, the 'Marty Supreme' actress, daughter of renowned actress Blythe Danner and film producer Bruce Paltrow, candidly referred to her status as a "nepo baby." She remarked, "I was incredibly fortunate to receive opportunities early in my career, likely because I'm one of the original nepo babies, but I would be dishonest to say that made my journey straightforward. There were numerous instances when the industry made it evident that women are expected to conform, to be graceful, quiet, and defined by one role. I've never excelled at being just one thing."

According to ‘People’, the 53-year-old actress also took a moment to pay tribute to her mother, 83-year-old Danner, who was present in the audience. She expressed gratitude for the many lessons learned from the Meet the Parents actress that have influenced her own career.

She added, "Mom, you demonstrated what it means to fully commit to your craft, to be incredibly creative and daring in your onstage choices, and to maintain grace even when this industry makes it challenging. Thank you for that."

Not only did Danner receive recognition, but Gwyneth also acknowledged the support she has received from her husband, TV and film producer Brad Falchuk, 55, and her son, Moses Martin, 19. She concluded with, "When we discuss women uplifting women—a crucial matter—we must also recognize the wonderful, thoughtful, and loving men who support us and fill our lives with love."
