Mumbai, June 20 (NationPress) - Renowned actor Pankaj Tripathi, who is preparing for the launch of his latest film “Metro…In Dino”, has shared insights on the increasing complexity of relationships in the fast-paced environment of modern life.
When asked if he believes that love has become underrated while relationships have grown complicated, Pankaj responded to IANS: “Love hasn’t lost its value. It’s the relationships that have become intricate. If the world is complex, how can relationships remain simple?”
He illustrated his point by discussing the inception of currency, which was intended to simplify exchanges: “Currency was created to make life easier. You can carry money and acquire what you need. Initially, it was a tool for ease, yet now, the pursuit of wealth complicates life further.”
Pankaj acknowledges the intricate nature of modern relationships.
“Indeed, they are complicated. It’s not solely about currency. The race for career success, financial gain, and material possessions leads to constant crises. In urban settings, especially in bustling cities, both partners often work and have no time for each other, making life inherently complex.”
“As life becomes complicated, so do our stories and emotions. Rushing and worrying are integral parts of metro life.”
Reflecting on the origins of relationship issues, he stated: “The mind is where problems arise. We often presume our partner thinks like us. Early in love, this doesn’t matter. However, over time, misunderstandings arise: ‘Why is he acting this way?’, ‘Why is she doing that?’, ‘Why did you leave the wet towel on the bed?’”
“In the early stages of love, leaving a wet towel feels romantic, but it later morphs into annoyance.”
Pankaj believes the roots of complexity lie in mental perceptions.
“It’s a clash between two distinct minds. Love and marriage signify two separate paths converging. Given the inherent differences between males and females, and various biological factors, it’s natural that complexities will arise.”
He firmly asserts that “love is not obsolete in any way.”
“The essence of the world is love. When individuals transition from one relationship to another, they seek love, a fundamental human necessity. People pursue it in various forms, often associated with wealth, but at the core, they are searching for love,” he concluded.
