The couple married in September 2013 under the Special Marriage Act at a Sub-Registrar Office in Hyderabad. Anna, a Russian citizen whose full name is Anna Lezhneva, took the surname Konidala after the wedding. The couple has a daughter and a son.

Pawan Kalyan made his acting debut in the 1996 film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi and quickly established himself as one of Telugu cinema's most distinctive stars. A streak of six consecutive hits followed, with Tholi Prema, Thammudu, Badri, and Kushi becoming back-to-back blockbusters.
