New Delhi, Jan 30 (NationPress) With an exceptional combination of acting prowess and stunning beauty, Pooja Hegde has collaborated with some of the industry's most prominent filmmakers and renowned stars. Nevertheless, the highly sought-after actress believes that even though she has achieved significant milestones, she still has a substantial journey ahead.
Pooja embarked on her acting career in 2012 with the Tamil film Mugamoodi, directed by Mysskin. Her foray into Bollywood came alongside Hrithik Roshan in the 2016 film Mohenjo Daro.
Since then, she has shared the screen with illustrious names such as Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Ram Charan, and Ranveer Singh. Her upcoming project is “Deva”, featuring Shahid Kapoor.
When asked whether her extensive filmography makes her feel accomplished, Pooja responded to IANS: “I mean, I've made it far, quite far, but a long way to go in my mind. I don't think I want to put that pressure in my mind of making it or not. But yes, I have been here and still standing going strong.”
The 34-year-old actress revealed that she never envisioned herself in the acting profession.
“Coming from a non-filmy family, I never thought I would be an actor. I didn't even consider it a possibility. My family is very academically inclined; my parents are both lawyers with MBAs, and my mother holds a master's degree in law. My brother is an orthopedic surgeon.”
Pooja expresses her joy in being part of the cinematic world.
“In such a family background, pursuing acting was never on my radar. Even while watching films, I never imagined I could be that person. But I'm incredibly happy to be doing what I love. I have a long way to go.”
She continued: “There are numerous roles I haven't yet explored and many filmmakers I aspire to work with. I’m committed to this journey for my love of cinema.”
The actress eagerly anticipates the release of “Deva”, an action thriller directed by Rosshan Andrrews, also featuring Pavail Gulati. This film is set to hit theaters on January 31.
