During the award ceremony, Rani took the opportunity to sit alongside her cherished co-star, Shah Rukh Khan, who was recognized as the 'Best Actor' for his role in "Jawan". This marks King Khan's first National Award after over thirty years in the film industry. He shared this honor with Vikrant Massey, who also earned the 'Best Actor' award for his performance in "12th Fail".
Over the years, both Shah Rukh and Rani have been adored by audiences for their undeniable chemistry in several blockbuster films, including "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Chalte Chalte", "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna", and "Paheli". Additionally, Rani made a special appearance in SRK's "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham".
Earlier this month, they celebrated their National Award wins in a nostalgic Rahul and Tina style reminiscent of their iconic film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
As a proud father, Shah Rukh Khan supported his son Aryan Khan in his directorial debut, "The Ba***ds Of Bollywood", sharing a video on Instagram of himself and Rani performing a romantic dance to the song "Tu Pehli Tu Aakhri" from the series.
In his post, he expressed, "National award… hum dono ki adhoori khwahish poori ho gayi… yay… congratulations...Rani, you are a queen and love you always."
Based on a true story, "Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway" depicts the heart-wrenching saga of Sagarika Chakraborty and Anurup Bhattacharya, an Indian immigrant couple whose children were taken from them by Norwegian authorities in 2011.
Directed by Ashima Chibber, the film showcases Rani's extraordinary performance as Debika Chatterjee, a distressed mother fighting against the system to reunite with her children.
