Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Jan 30 (NationPress) Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji has shared her thoughts on parenting, emphasizing her desire for her daughter Adira to be happy, regardless of the path she chooses in life. In an exclusive interaction with IANS, Rani had a meaningful discussion with female officers from the Delhi Police.
During the session, a police officer inquired if Rani hopes Adira will follow in her footsteps as an actress. The 47-year-old, whose latest film is 'Mardaani 3', revealed that her daughter is currently involved in learning taekwondo.
Rani stated, “Right now, she is learning taekwondo. She is becoming strong and empowered. Whatever she decides to pursue in the future, I will always support her.”
Highlighting the significance of happiness and empowerment, Rani expressed that as a woman, daughter, sister, and mother, she believes that happiness allows individuals to spread joy to others, which is her ultimate wish for Adira.
“As I am not just a woman, but also a daughter, a sister, and a mother, I sincerely believe that when we are happy, we can make those around us happy too. Therefore, I want my daughter Adira to always be happy, no matter what path she chooses,” Rani stated.
Regarding her upcoming film, 'Mardaani 4', directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Rani noted that while Mardaani shed light on the harsh realities of human trafficking and Mardaani 2 explored the psyche of a serial rapist, Mardaani 3 continues to tackle another grim aspect of society, further enhancing the franchise’s legacy of impactful storytelling.
Actress Janaki Bodiwala, known for her role in Shaitaan, joins the Mardaani franchise in a significant role. Mardaani 3, penned by Aayush Gupta of The Railway Men, is set to debut in theaters worldwide on January 30.
The first film in the Mardaani series premiered in 2014, featuring Rani, Jisshu Sengupta, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Anant Vidhaat Sharma in supporting roles. The sequel was released in 2019 under the direction of Gopi Puthran and included Vishal Jethwa.
