Mumbai, May 26 (NationPress) Actress Raveena Tandon disclosed that her daughter, Rasha Thadani, whom she affectionately refers to as her “Lakshmi”, has attained a first Dan rank in Taekwondo.
During a chat with Farah Khan on her YouTube channel, Raveena provided a glimpse into her eco-friendly home, highlighting furniture crafted from recycled wood.
Among the items showcased was a wall adorned with various belts, including red, green, and black.
Raveena expressed her pride, stating: “She has achieved the first Dan in Taekwondo.”
In martial arts, achieving a 1st Dan rank represents the initiation into black belt proficiency, marking the first stage of significant mastery and skill.
Farah remarked: “My kids also practiced Judo, but they stopped after reaching the Blue Belt.”
Raveena also displayed her son Ranbir's collection of autographs and CDs, which are now rare.
“I haven’t discarded anything; I’ve preserved these CDs… Kids today don’t recognize what a CD is. These are from 1947! Incredible... there's a CD player featuring Michael Jackson's greatest hits,” she shared.
As she continued her tour, Raveena lovingly referred to Rasha as the “ghar ki Lakshmi”, and showcased a framed photo of Rasha’s tiny footprints placed at the doorway.
Explaining the significance, Raveena said: “Look at my Laxmi's foot... Who is my Laxmi? Rasha… When a girl is born, Lakshmi enters the home. It’s auspicious to keep her footprint at the entrance.”
Later in the discussion, Raveena shared that she was only permitted to go out with Farah during her youth.
“The first time I visited a disco was when I was finally allowed... and it was with Farah,” she concluded.
