Mumbai, Sep 29 (NationPress) - Actress Navneet Nishan, best known for her leading role in the iconic 90s TV series Tara, delighted her audience by unveiling a collection of rare throwback images from her private collection.

In her post, she disclosed a unique relationship with actor Saif Ali Khan, his former wife Amrita Singh, and their daughter Sara Ali Khan.

The pictures, originating from the 1990s, not only emphasize her close friendship with Bollywood's Saif Ali Khan but also include Amrita Singh, who was a celebrated actress in her own right at the time. In a touching revelation, Navneet mentioned that Saif took on the role of her brother during her engagement ceremony in 1998 to software engineer Srirajan.

She shared a heartfelt moment from the cozy event, stating, "Mumbai, 1998. These are unseen pictures from my engagement. It was a small gathering at home with close friends and family. I got engaged to Srirajan, a software engineer who was then the vice president at Oracle Singapore. We were introduced by the renowned photographer Shipra Shukla, and there was an immediate connection. We dated for two years before deciding to marry. Saif was my rakhi brother, so he officiated the simple ceremony as a sibling."

The engagement photos also showcase Amrita Singh attending the event, reflecting the deep familial bond Navneet shared with the couple. Her closeness extended beyond formalities; in another rare photo from that time, she is seen holding baby Sara Ali Khan long before Ibrahim Ali Khan was born.

Adding to the nostalgia, Navneet shared a memory from London in 1994 with Amrita Singh. During the trip, she reminisced, "London, 1994, St James Court. Those were thrilling times, filled with travel alongside close friends. London became our favorite city, with its divine food and shopping experiences. On this trip, I was fortunate to have Amrita as my tour guide. She was well-acquainted with London, leading me to museums, the Tower of London, amazing restaurants, and even a theater to watch a play. Throughout the 90s, we made several trips to London, creating wonderful memories." Navneet and Amrita co-starred in the Bollywood film Waaris, released in 1988.

Navneet later emerged as a familiar face in films such as Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke, Dil Wale, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Raja Hindustani, and Kya Kehna. In Kya Kehna, Navneet portrayed Saif Ali Khan's mother. She became a household name on television with her role in Tara and later appeared in shows like Chanakya, Jassi Jassi Koi Nahi, and Madhubala. Her character in Tara was groundbreaking, showcasing her as a strong, bold, and progressive figure.
