Mumbai, Sep 18 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Salman Khan, who is set to appear in the anticipated film ‘Galwan’, has returned to Mumbai with a striking new appearance. On Thursday, he was spotted exiting Terminal 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
The actor showcased a clean-shaven look, a notable change from his previous moustachioed portrayal in the film. He wore worn-out denim jeans paired with a black t-shirt, completing his ensemble with a black jacket and a cap.
In ‘Galwan’, Salman’s look reflects a significant evolution, moving from the rugged moustache reminiscent of his famous character Chulbul Pandey from the ‘Dabangg’ series.
Currently, Salman is balancing his commitments between shooting for ‘Bigg Boss 19’ and his film ‘Galwan’. Recently, he shared a behind-the-scenes snapshot on Instagram, capturing a moment where he peeks through the clapperboard. This particular shot is from the film’s 86th scene, featuring a close-up of his first take.
In the image, Salman is dressed in combat fatigues, complete with a jacket bearing insignia, alongside layers of the old Personal Camouflage Disruptive Pattern Material (PC DPM). This attire correlates with the historical context of the Galwan stand-off that occurred in 2020-2021. The PC DPM was replaced by the New Battle Dress Uniform (NBDU) of the INCAM (Indian National Camouflage).
This new uniform was unveiled on January 15, 2022, during the 74th Army Day Parade in New Delhi, designed in partnership with NIFT.
In the photo, he also displays a wound on his side face, captioning it with “#BattleOfGalwan”.
The film narrates the events surrounding the Galwan stand-off between India and its expansionist neighbor, China, which took place on June 15, 2020, during the peak of the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India.
