Los Angeles, Jan 5 (NationPress) Renowned actor Adam Sandler, who first crossed paths with his wife Jackie during her minor appearance in his 1999 film Big Daddy, believes their encounter was a matter of destiny and that their love story would have unfolded even if he had not achieved fame.

The 59-year-old Sandler and Jackie exchanged vows in 2003 and are proud parents to daughters Sunny, 19, and Sadie, 16. He asserts that their meeting was indeed destiny, and they would still be together even if he had chosen to work in his father’s electrical business.

While accepting the Chairman Award at the 2026 Palm Springs International Film Festival, Sandler mused, “I often wonder what my life would be like had I not pursued acting and instead worked for my dad. I’d still be married to my wife, Jackie. That’s destiny. Nothing could change that.”

He joked, “But our house would definitely look different. Probably 10 fewer bathrooms and less of my statue collection.”

The Wedding Singer star shared that he is feeling increasingly thankful for his life and career, expressing immense satisfaction with his current situation, as reported by femalefirst.co.uk.

He told People magazine, “I’m just more grateful than I’ve ever been. I cherish this life, appreciate everyone who has supported me, and it’s been a fantastic journey. My family has always been wonderful to me. My wife and I engage in discussions about our lives and future, and it’s just been an incredibly fulfilling experience.”

He emphasized the closeness he shares with Jackie, saying, “We’re very close. We enjoy talking, laughing, having fun, and caring for our kids.”
