Mumbai, Nov 29 (NationPress) Filmmaker and actress Pooja Bhatt recently shared a heartfelt moment she had with Sanjay Dutt, revealing that the actor was eager to revive the magic of their 1991 film “Sadak”, which ultimately inspired its sequel.
Sadak was a romantic action thriller directed by Mahesh Bhatt, featuring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. The film became one of the top-grossing movies of 1991.
Pooja discussed the origins of “Sadak 2” in her podcast, The Pooja Bhatt Show, during a conversation with actor Avtar Gill.
“I recall meeting Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) in Delhi, and he kicked off our conversation by expressing his wish to create Sadak 2. I mentioned that it wasn't my forte and spoke to Mukesh Bhatt about it. He insisted I converse with Sanjay directly. When I brought it up, Bhatt Saab asked, ‘What’s his motivation for making it?’”
Pooja unveiled the true reason behind Sanjay's enthusiasm for “Sadak 2”, stating, “He told me he missed the atmosphere on the sets.”
Avtar added, “He expressed the same sentiment to me.”
Pooja continued, “While we filmed, the exchanges between shots were what contributed to our work.”
