Mumbai, July 23 (NationPress) Actress Sheetal Kale, who gained recognition through Sushmita Sen's acclaimed web series, "Taali", has opened up regarding the existing bias in Bollywood that is often influenced by language.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, when asked about being judged based on her regional accent, Sheetal candidly admitted to experiencing this firsthand.
"There is significant partiality in the industry. If you cannot articulate yourself in fluent English, you often face condescension. It is quite ironic since we are part of Hindi cinema. I have personally encountered this kind of discrimination," she stated.
Sheetal elaborated that people tend to jump to conclusions about others. She remarked that if someone doesn't grasp certain words or speaks with an accent, they are often perceived as uneducated or inferior.
