Mumbai, Oct 31 (NationPress) Actress-singer Shehnaaz Gill, whose debut film as a producer, “Ikk Kudi”, has just been released in theatres, expressed that the film carries profound emotional significance for her, declaring it a project she will cherish throughout her life.

Reflecting on her new role as a producer, Shehnaaz shared with IANS: “Taking on the responsibilities of a producer was quite challenging. The story is exceptional, and it was vital for me to step into this role. I took a risk, and now we await the audience's reaction. The film is set to premiere on October 31, and I can't contain my excitement.”

Having ventured into singer, acting, producing, and reality TV, when asked if there’s more to explore, Shehnaaz confidently replied: “There is still so much left for me to do.”

“I feel like I have just begun my journey. Let’s see how the audience receives this film. I can confidently say that Ikk Kudi represents Shehnaaz Gill in many ways. What was my first project? I’d say it’s Ikk Kudi because this is a film I will hold dear for a lifetime. Many may view my previous works as debuts, but this is the one closest to my heart,” she added.

Ikk Kudi chronicles the challenges faced by a girl in her quest for the right partner. Written and directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, the film is now showing in cinemas as of October 31.

Initially planned for a release on September 19, the film's premiere was delayed due to the recent Punjab floods.

In her last Bollywood appearance, she featured in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video alongside Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri in a special song titled “Sajna Ve Sajna”.

Shehnaaz rose to fame following her participation in “Bigg Boss 13”. Her modelling journey began in 2015 with a music video named 'Shiv Di Kitaab', and she made her acting debut in the Punjabi film 'Sat Shri Akaal England' in 2017.

Her filmography features titles such as 'Kala Shah Kala', 'Daaka', 'Honsla Rakh', 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan', and 'Thank You for Coming'.
