Mumbai, May 7 (NationPress) Renowned director Shekhar Kapur has lauded India’s calculated and assured response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, appreciating its accuracy and avoidance of war-like language. He emphasized that Operation Sindoor was a focused assault on the regions and groups that aided the individuals responsible for the tragic deaths of innocent civilians.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Shekhar celebrated Operation Sindoor, stating: “India’s reaction to the Pahalgam terrorist attacks exemplifies a nation demonstrating to the world its responsibility and confidence.”
“Without resorting to war rhetoric, #operation_sindoor is a precise strike against the territories and organizations that supported the dreadful terrorists who took innocent lives. #BharatMataKiJai #PahalgamTerroristAttack #operation_sindoor @narendramodi,” he added.
The 'Operation Sindoor' was executed 14 days following the terror strike in the tourist hotspot of Baisaran, Pahalgam, where suspects are believed to have ties to Pakistan.
On April 22, nearly 26 individuals, primarily tourists, were killed in a terror incident in Pahalgam, which has been classified as the deadliest since the 2019 Pulwama attack.
On Wednesday, the Indian Air Force targeted the terrorists' strongholds without infringing upon Pakistani airspace. The Pakistan military was completely taken aback when the Indian operations commenced around 1:44 a.m.
The locations struck by Indian forces during Operation Sindoor included Muridke near Lahore, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) released a statement at 1:44 a.m., confirming that a total of nine sites were targeted throughout Operation Sindoor by the Indian Armed Forces.
Muridke and Bhawalpur are known to house Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) headquarters, where its leader, Masood Azhar, and senior commanders have sought refuge.
Reports indicated that numerous loud explosions were heard in Muzaffarabad City in PoJK, where various terrorist organizations have established training camps and launch sites. Following the explosions, power in Muzaffarabad was cut off. Additionally, Kotli also hosts terror infrastructure, including training camps and launch pads.
