On September 30, Shilpa and her husband, Raj Kundra, celebrated Kanya Poojan at their home in Mumbai during the auspicious Maha Ashtami festival.
Shilpa uploaded a video on her Instagram showing the couple performing Kanya Poojan for their daughter, Samisha. They washed her feet, applied a tilak on her forehead, and sought her blessings.
Later, they conducted poojan for other Kanyas who visited, serving them a feast of chole, puri, and halwa prasad.
Shilpa's sister, Shamita, and their mother, Sunanda, were also seen serving prasad to the little Kanjakas.
In her social media post about the celebration, Shilpa wrote, "On this sacred day of Maha Ashtami, we perform Kanya Poojan with devotion, seeking the blessings of Maa Mahagauri. May Maa shower us all with happiness, peace, and prosperity. Jai Mata Di" (folded hands emoji) (sic).
