Mumbai, June 23 (NationPress) Sonakshi Sinha has candidly discussed the rumors surrounding a potential rift with her brothers, Luv and Kussh. The actress reflected on the speculation and whether it has impacted her mental well-being.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Sonakshi Sinha remarked, “Honestly, I don’t dwell on it. I try not to give it too much thought.” When questioned about her experience filming ‘Nikita Roy’ alongside her brother Kussh, she mentioned that entering the set meant diving into work mode. “As soon as you come on set, you remember what you're there to do.” The Dabangg star, who has collaborated with numerous novice directors over the years, emphasized her commitment to supporting Kussh in his debut as a director.
“I've worked with many new directors, and my goal is always to assist them in every possible way—whether it’s through my experience or the insights I’ve gained over 15 years. New directors infuse a fresh energy and perspective, which I find thrilling,” she stated.
Discussing Kussh's vision, she added, “He had a clear idea of what he wanted to create, and that clarity facilitated a smooth and enjoyable process.” When asked if there were sibling disputes on set, Sonakshi chuckled, “No, not at all. I actually thought we might have a minor argument, but nothing transpired. On set, you are in a complete work zone. There’s so much happening that there’s genuinely no time or reason to engage in trivial matters.”
For those unfamiliar, rumors of a family discord started circulating shortly after Sonakshi Sinha married her long-time partner, Zaheer Iqbal. Her brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha, were noticeably absent from the wedding, leading to rampant speculation regarding family tensions. Reports suggested that some comments from the brothers subtly hinted at their unease regarding the interfaith wedding.
Later, Luv Sinha addressed his absence on Instagram, criticizing what he termed a misleading ‘online campaign’ aimed at him. He stated, “Why I chose not to attend. Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me, my family will always come first.”
In the meantime, Sonakshi stars in the title role of “Nikita Roy” alongside Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal, and Suhail Nayyar. The film, which signifies Kussh Sinha’s debut as a director, is set to release in theaters on June 27, 2025.
