On her professional front, the 38-year-old actress is preparing for the debut of her new action film “Jatadhara,” where she showcases a completely different persona. In this film, Sonakshi portrays a supernatural antagonist. Discussing the project, she stated, “What makes Jatadhara compelling is its blend of the supernatural with genuine human emotions. The fear portrayed here is not only external, but lingers in the mind well after the story concludes.”

Set against a backdrop where black magic reigns supreme, “Jatadhara” delves into the darker aspects of the supernatural, revealing how mystical forces can have dire consequences. The narrative follows Sonakshi Sinha as a pishachini, a mystical entity guarding a long-hidden treasure of gold.

Directed by Venkat Kalyan, this forthcoming supernatural thriller also features Sudheer Babu, Divya Khosla, and Shilpa Shirodkar. “Jatadhara” is set to release in theatres on Nov 7th, 2025, in both Telugu and Hindi.
