Mumbai, March 3 (NationPress) Actor Parzan Dastur, who portrayed the character of the young boy in the blockbuster Shah Rukh Khan film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, has made a nostalgic appearance in a new promotional video for the Bollywood superstar’s IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders.
On Monday, SRK shared the video on his Instagram Stories. The advertisement celebrates KKR's three championship victories in the IPL. Toward the conclusion of the video, Parzan Dastur reprises his role from the film, reminiscing as he counts the stars.
In addition, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, featuring SRK, was recently re-released. This classic, which also stars Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor, was helmed by the iconic director Yash Chopra and received three National Awards. At the 45th National Film Awards, it was honored with three accolades, including Best Popular Film. Karisma Kapoor’s portrayal of Nisha earned her the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.
This film is celebrated for its enchanting music, captivating dance routines, and unforgettable dialogues, maintaining its status as a beloved classic among Bollywood romance enthusiasts. The plot revolves around the romantic entanglements of a musical group, where two dancers (Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor) find themselves in a love triangle with their choreographer (SRK). The soundtrack, composed by Uttam Singh, features lyrics by Anand Bakshi.
‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ was the second of Yash Chopra's four consecutive films featuring Shah Rukh Khan in a leading role, with the others being ‘Veer-Zaara’ and his final directorial project ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. This film marked the third collaboration between SRK and Madhuri Dixit, following ‘Anjaam’ and ‘Koyla’.
Initially, Sridevi was offered the role of Pooja but declined due to the character's perceived lack of significance compared to her role in ‘Lamhe’. Consequently, the role was awarded to Madhuri. The film also includes a cameo by Akshay Kumar, a rare occurrence of two major Hindi cinema stars from Delhi sharing screen time.
