Mumbai, April 28 (NationPress) - Renowned director Subhash Ghai has expressed his admiration for actress Rajeshwari Sachdev, stating he was taken aback by her outstanding performance as a Punjabi actress in the Marathi film "Amaira", where she stars alongside veteran actor Ajinkya Deo.

Ghai shared his thoughts on Instagram, posting a photo alongside Rajeshwari, known for her roles in "Sardari Begum" and "Tunnu Ki Tina".

He wrote: “I was pleasantly surprised to witness a Punjabi actress, #RAJESHWARI SACHDEV, perform so exceptionally in a MARATHI film alongside our esteemed Marathi star Ajinkya Deo in the movie #AMAIRA, produced by Mukta Arts Ltd, set to be released on May 16 in theaters (sic).”

Ghai continued: “Kudos to you, Rajeshwari, for your superb acting talent, transcending any language. Wow! Stay blessed always, Team AMAIRA (sic).”

The film "Amaira" is helmed by Lokesh Gupte and features Sai Godbole in the titular role, along with Pooja Sawant and Atul Parchure.

On April 26, the filmmaker shared a nostalgic photo with legendary singer Asha Bhosle and former glamour model Samantha Fox.

In the caption, he reflected: “A memorable moment for me with Asha Bhosle ji as the chief guests at a grand SHOW OF SAMANTHA FOX, who expressed her desire to work in India as an actor and singer in one of my films amidst a cheering crowd in Delhi in 1984. I felt shy over her compliment and blessed (sic).”

Previously, Ghai had posted a picture of actress Neetu Kapoor accepting an award on behalf of her late husband, Rishi Kapoor, as the film ‘Karz’ celebrates 45 years.

‘Karz’ is a classic film that narrates the story of a man's reincarnation after being murdered by his wife in his previous life. The film was remade in Hindi in 2008 featuring Himesh Reshammiya in the lead role.
