Actress Tanushree Dutta has alleged that a coordinated group she calls 'enemy camp handlers' is actively sabotaging her professional opportunities, warning brands and event organisers to verify all bookings only through her official channels. The claims were made in a detailed Instagram post on 24 July, in which Dutta laid out what she described as a pattern of manipulation and fraud targeting her career.

What Dutta Alleged

In her post, the 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' actress wrote that while certain individuals and organisations genuinely wish to work with her, intermediaries are intercepting those opportunities. 'So there are also people that want to work with me but the enemy camp handlers don’t let anything come to me. They lie, manipulate, and lead things astray at the enquiry level itself. Or misguide genuine brands, events and projects to sabotage me further,' she wrote.

Dutta further alleged that these actors operate at the initial inquiry stage itself, misdirecting brands, event organisers, and film projects before they can make direct contact with her.

Warning to Brands and Collaborators

Dutta issued a pointed advisory to anyone seeking to engage her professionally. She stated that no funds should be transferred unless directly to her verified ICICI Bank account, confirmed by the bank manager. She added that she does not accept cash transactions or work 'under the table,' and that all her professional engagements are fully documented and tax-declared in line with government directives.

'A word of caution to any brand, event organiser or movie team: Do not transfer any funds unless it’s to my one and only official banking account at ICICI verified by the bank manager,' she wrote, adding that invoices would only be issued from her verified WhatsApp number, which she described as the sole legitimate channel for booking confirmation.

The Booking Process She Outlined

Dutta specified that her business WhatsApp is the only authentic source of project verification, and that no booking is confirmed unless an invoice is received from that number. She also advised collaborators not to engage middle agents who collect payments into their own accounts, and to report any irregularities directly to her. 'I’m being targeted and genuine employers are struggling to contact me,' she wrote.

Background: A Pattern of Public Allegations

This is not the first time Dutta has made such claims publicly. Last year, she shared a distressing video on Instagram in which she was seen breaking down and alleged she had been facing harassment at her residence for the past four to five years. Dutta was among the most prominent voices of Bollywood's 2018 #MeToo movement, and her public statements since then have frequently referenced what she describes as industry-level hostility toward her. This latest post continues that pattern, framing her professional difficulties as deliberate and organised rather than incidental.
