Mumbai, Jan 3 (NationPress) Vishwajoy Mukherjee’s directorial venture The Pickle Factory offers an entertaining mixture of work-life disorder and sincere family connections.

This 10-episode ride is available for streaming on Prasar Bharati’s newly introduced WAVES OTT platform and is produced by Aarrav Jindal. The screenplay is crafted by Mohak Pajni, Adhiraj, and Saransh Sharma, featuring a talented cast including Ritwik Bhowmik, Tanya Maniktala, Sohaila Kapur, Gagandev Riar, Naveen Kaushik, and Akashdeep Arora.

The narrative revolves around Mahika (portrayed by Tanya Maniktala), who, after losing her job and inadvertently becoming an online sensation for all the wrong reasons, finds herself at her grandmother’s residence in Dehradun.

As she struggles to regain her direction, Mahika is unwittingly thrust into an internship at the family-run pickle factory. Her journey is packed with comical escapades as she navigates the eccentricities of her extended family, including her mischievous uncles, Jojo (played by Gagandev Riar) and Chandu (played by Naveen Kaushik), who inject their unique blend of chaos into every situation. Adding to the amusement is Ritwik Bhowmik as Deb, Mahika’s childhood crush, who still harbors feelings for her. Together, they craft a comedy workplace narrative that stands out.

The Pickle Factory is a series where each character resonates as a familiar face from your own family gatherings. The chemistry among the cast is irresistibly captivating, with every episode filled with laugh-inducing moments, heartfelt interactions, and just the right degree of drama. Jindal’s production wonderfully encapsulates the quirky essence of small-town living, transforming even the simplest tasks—such as pickle-making—into a remarkable, unforgettable journey.

The series is currently streaming on WAVES, a treasure chest of nostalgic programming that revives timeless classics such as “Ramayana,” “Mahabharat,” “Alif Laila,” and “Fauji”.
