Mumbai, April 20 (NationPress) Pan-India star Yash, renowned for the blockbuster ‘K.G.F.’, is gearing up to begin shooting for ‘Ramayana Part 1’ next week in Mumbai. To mark a propitious start to this mythological venture, Yash will first pay homage at the sacred Shree Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain to receive divine blessings.

The film features Bollywood megastar Ranbir Kapoor and actress Sai Pallavi. As part of his tradition, Yash initiates every new film project with a visit to a temple.

This particular visit holds special significance as Raavan, the character he portrays in ‘Ramayana Part 1’, was a devotee of Mahadev.

In addition to taking on a key role, Yash is also co-producing the film under his banner, Monster Mind Creations, along with Malhota’s Prime Focus Studios. As an involved co-producer, he has been collaborating closely with the team on various facets of this ambitious project and is expected to commence filming his scenes by the end of April.

Produced by Namit Malhotra, this cinematic masterpiece is considered to be the most ambitious mythological film in Indian cinema history. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, the film promises rich storytelling, advanced technology, and a cinematic vision intended to redefine the mythological genre for an international audience.

‘Ramayana Part 1’ is scheduled to release on Diwali 2026, followed by ‘Ramayana Part 2’ on Diwali 2027.

Meanwhile, Yash is also set to star in ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’, which is confirmed to hit theaters on March 19, 2026.

As the first large-scale Indian project developed, written, and filmed in both Kannada and English, ‘Toxic’ merges cultures and continents. The film will be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and various other languages. It is directed by Geetu Mohandas, known for her emotionally impactful, award-winning films.
