New Delhi, March 16 (NationPress) Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates has commended India's vital contributions to global health and agriculture, showcasing the country's increasing influence in these sectors.
Gates, who is visiting India for the third time in three years, recognized the nation's progress and its capability to tackle some of the world's most urgent issues.
In a post on LinkedIn, Gates reflected on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's enduring collaboration with India.
"For the last two decades, the foundation has partnered with the Indian government, researchers, and entrepreneurs to propel advancements in healthcare, agriculture, and digital innovation," he stated.
He praised India's achievements in public health, particularly in the battle against polio, reminiscing about his visit in 2011 when India recorded its final polio case.
