The Queensland police confirmed in a statement that they were notified of two persons wounded in a shooting incident in the suburb of Park Ridge, located 26 km south of Brisbane, around 1:20 am on Friday.
An 18-year-old male was taken to the hospital in a serious yet stable condition, whereas a 20-year-old female was also hospitalized with injuries that are not deemed life-threatening.
