“We will strive to include the families of the deceased in the investigation process and consider their perspectives,” he added.
Moreover, Lee mentioned that the government would prioritize covering immediate expenses and subsequently seek reimbursements from relevant agencies to guarantee prompt assistance to those impacted.
During his site visit, Lee received updates regarding the casualties and the ongoing emergency response efforts, urging fire officials to implement measures to prevent further safety incidents, as stated by presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung.
Lee also interacted with the families of the victims and instructed authorities to keep them informed about the fire investigation and relief operations. Additionally, he visited a local hospital to meet with the injured individuals.
