Tokyo, May 24 (NationPress) Members of the Indian diaspora in Japan have praised the decisive actions taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government against cross-border terrorism through Operation Sindoor, reflecting their pride in India's assertive response to Pakistan-sponsored terror. This sentiment was shared during a notable outreach event at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, where an all-party parliamentary delegation engaged with the diaspora, reinforcing India's unified and robust stance against terrorism.

The delegation, spearheaded by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, included BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Brij Lal, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) MP John Brittas, and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid.

They described Operation Sindoor as a "strategic shift" and the "new normal" in India's counter-terrorism approach, particularly in light of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.

In an interview with IANS, diaspora members expressed their appreciation for the delegation's outreach and commended the government's actions.

"Until now, we always felt helpless whenever something was happening in India. But after Operation Sindoor, a sense of pride has emerged. The actions of the government led by PM Modi have truly made us very proud," shared one attendee.

Another member expressed, "Operation Sindoor signifies heartfelt support. I have adorned myself with Sindoor as a mark of solidarity with our forces." One participant noted, "The name Operation Sindoor is highly appropriate and accurate. We appreciate the decisive actions taken by our Indian armed forces."

Many shared similar sentiments, stressing the crucial need for national stability.

"India, being the fourth largest economy, requires political stability. Any attempts to disrupt our nation will be met with resistance. Operation Sindoor sends a clear message that India upholds a zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism," asserted a diaspora member.

One attendee lauded the Prime Minister's leadership, stating, "PM Modi has managed everything exceptionally well. We are delighted that India is recognized as a formidable nation."

He also critiqued Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, commenting, "He seldom speaks positively; his remarks are predictable."

A diaspora member encapsulated the collective sentiment: "This is a remarkable achievement by our Prime Minister and the entire nation. The term Sindoor holds profound significance for us."

Jha emphasized the need for the diaspora to understand the persistent terror threats faced by India, highlighting the importance of raising international awareness regarding Pakistan's direct involvement in such incidents.

The Indian Embassy clarified that the delegation detailed Pakistan's role in the Pahalgam terror attack and India's retaliatory measures that led to the destruction of nine high-value terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

"They stressed India's zero tolerance for terrorism, conveying the firm message that dialogue and terror cannot coexist. Blood and water cannot flow together," the Embassy announced on X.

Exhibiting images of Pakistan granting state funerals to the neutralized terrorists, Jha unveiled what he termed "the true face" of the rogue state. He contrasted India's ascension as the fourth-largest economy with Pakistan's ongoing turmoil.

"I visited Srinagar, which thrives on tourism. The local community has endured significant hardship following the terror attack," he noted.

A moment of silence was observed in honor of the Pahalgam terror attack victims, with the Embassy affirming that the visit concluded on a solemn yet united note.
