On November 24, a soldier was injured when gunmen targeted a Pakistani security forces vehicle on a link road in Domel, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu district.
A police officer stated that the injured soldier was quickly transported to the hospital in Bannu cantonment. Security forces and police commenced a joint search operation across the area, resulting in the death and injury of several 'terrorists', as reported by Dawn.
The police personnel further indicated that security forces cordoned off the area in pursuit of the fleeing attackers.
On November 8, an unidentified assailant targeted a checkpost in the Tangi area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Khar tehsil, injuring a police official named Azad Khan.
In the meantime, the Islamabad-based Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) released a recent security report indicating that Pakistan has experienced a more than 46 percent increase in violence during the third quarter of 2025.
The report revealed at least 901 fatalities and 599 injuries among civilians, security forces, and outlaws due to 329 incidents of violence, which included 'terror' attacks and counter-terror operations.
From January to September 2024 (Q1-Q3), Pakistan reported 1,527 fatalities. The 2,414 fatalities during the same timeframe indicate a 58 percent escalation in violent incidents.
