Moscow, July 20 (NationPress) Russian forces executed a significant assault on Ukraine's military-industrial complex, as reported by the Russian Defence Ministry. The operation utilized high-precision weapons launched from air, ground, and sea, along with drones, achieving successful hits on all specified targets, according to an official statement.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated via Telegram that over 300 drones and 30 cruise missiles were deployed by Russia overnight, resulting in one fatality and six injuries in Odesa, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
In the meantime, the Russian Defence Ministry announced that its forces intercepted 71 Ukrainian drones overnight. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that 13 drones were brought down while heading towards the Russian capital.
Moreover, Russia is prepared to engage in another round of discussions with Ukraine; however, Kyiv appears to be delaying, as indicated earlier by Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“Kyiv is clearly taking its time. We still await proposals regarding the timelines. The Russian side is open to continuing and arranging a third round [of talks],” he stated.
Additionally, in an interview with the Russian newspaper Izvestia, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin emphasized that Russia will persist in direct negotiations with Ukraine.
