Islamabad, July 23 (NationPress) TikTok has taken down 24,954,128 videos in Pakistan during the first quarter of 2025 for violating the platform's community guidelines, as highlighted in the Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.
The proactive removal rate in Pakistan was impressively high at 99.4 percent, with 95.8 percent of flagged videos being removed within 24 hours of their posting, according to a report from the leading daily, The Express Tribune.
Globally, TikTok has taken down around 211 million videos during the same timeframe, accounting for approximately 0.9 percent of all shared content on the platform.
Of these, over 184 million were identified and removed through automated systems, while more than 7.5 million were restored after further review. The proactive removal rate globally stood at 99.0 percent, with 94.3 percent of flagged content taken down within 24 hours.
As per the report, 30.1 percent of all videos removed worldwide involved sensitive or mature themes, marking it as the leading reason for enforcement actions. Other violations included breaches of privacy and security guidelines (15.6 percent), safety and civility standards (11.5 percent), misinformation (45.5 percent), and the use of edited media or AI-generated content (13.8 percent).

"The suspect entered the home, fired multiple shots, and escaped," a police official stated. Sana was struck by two bullets and succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
