Kathmandu, May 17 (NationPress) On Saturday, Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, planted a sapling at the Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative.
During his visit to Nepal, Yadav represents India at the Sagarmatha Sambaad, a prestigious global dialogue focusing on 'Climate Change, Mountains, and the Future of Humanity,' organized by the Nepali government from May 16-18.
“Today, I planted a sapling at the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign. Launched by PM Modi, this initiative encourages collective action for a greener future,” the minister shared on X.
PM Modi introduced the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign on World Environment Day, urging citizens to engage with and strengthen this movement. This initiative not only acknowledges the nurturing role of mothers but also is vital for the planet’s health.
Earlier that day, Yadav offered prayers at the Pashupatinath Temple and addressed the opening session of the Sagarmatha Sambaad on Friday.
