Rakesh Rathi has been designated as the Inspector General of Police (Special Branch), while Jitendra Rana, who was awaiting a new assignment, is now the Inspector General of the Central Region.

These changes follow a reshuffle on June 14 that resulted in the transfer of the Patna Senior Superintendent of Police along with Superintendents of Police in six districts.
Moreover, on June 21, a further 19 Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) were reassigned throughout Bihar.
