New Delhi, July 11 (NationPress) The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), which is probing the tragic Air India flight AI171 incident that occurred shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad airport on June 12, has confirmed that its preliminary report will be released very soon, stated Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu on Friday.
The minister highlighted the ministry's commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the investigation process.
“The report will be available shortly. AAIB is diligently working on it. It is their responsibility, and we must allow them to perform their duties,” Naidu remarked when questioned about the timeline for the preliminary findings.
On June 13, a combined unit of the Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) and the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) was retrieved from the crash site, followed by another set discovered on June 16. This aircraft model is equipped with two black boxes.
