Mumbai, Sep 11 (NationPress) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed the state administration to consolidate the portals and applications of various departments into a single online platform.

The aim is to ensure that all government services and benefits are easily accessible through the unified 'Aaple Sarkar' portal, as stated by the Chief Minister.

This initiative seeks to simplify the process for citizens to receive government services and benefits conveniently, according to Fadnavis during a meeting on 'Governance Process Re-Engineering'.

The state government is committed to leveraging technology to enhance the delivery of government schemes and services, ensuring a more user-friendly experience, he noted.

Fadnavis has emphasized the need for the citizen-centric 'Aaple Sarkar 2.0' portal to be “technology-friendly” and aims for its implementation by October 2. This is to guarantee that every citizen in the state can swiftly receive the benefits of various schemes without any complications.

The Chief Minister also instructed the administration to follow a three-phase schedule for implementing changes aimed at improving service delivery for citizens. The phases are set for November 26, 2025 (Constitution Day), January 26, 2026 (Republic Day), and May 1, 2026 (Maharashtra Day).

Additionally, he proposed that the benefits of schemes be included in the Right to Service Guarantee Act. Currently, this act guarantees only services, but moving forward, it should also provide scheme benefits based on eligibility criteria.

“Citizens should be kept informed online throughout the application process. They need updates at every stage regarding their applications. Furthermore, there should be an option for citizens to register their feedback online after receiving scheme benefits or services. Complaints should also be addressed through online platforms. To simplify the process and reduce wait times, the number of application fields and required documents should be minimized,” he remarked.

Fadnavis stressed the importance of making the entire application process online, thereby streamlining approval steps for schemes.

All scheme benefits should be channeled through the 'MahaDBT' portal, he reiterated.

“We must eliminate offline processes entirely; benefits should strictly be provided online,” he asserted.

“The system should be designed so that citizens do not need to visit government offices. They should be able to track application processes and service approvals directly on the portal. Services from various departments should be integrated into this platform for ease of access,” CM Fadnavis stated.

According to the Chief Minister, the state government is also exploring options to provide services via WhatsApp.

Connectivity for government services through WhatsApp will be incorporated into the portal, CM Fadnavis confirmed.

“Through these initiatives, the state government aims to ensure that citizens can access government services and benefits easily, simply, and quickly. Every department must dedicate themselves to executing this process effectively,” he concluded.

The meeting included participants such as State Information and Technology Minister Ashish Shelar, Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, and Chief Commissioner of the State Service Rights Guarantee Commission Manukumar Srivastava.
