Mumbai, June 30 (NationPress) Adani Electricity announced on Monday that it is commemorating National Electrical Safety Week across its divisions and supply regions from June 26 to July 2.
Throughout this week, the company is arranging various educational workshops and programs focused on electrical safety for both employees and customers, as stated in their official announcement.
In collaboration with the Adani Foundation, Adani Electricity is also conducting electrical safety workshops in local BMC schools.
In April, to foster fire prevention awareness, Adani Electricity celebrated Fire Service Week throughout its power distribution zone.
This initiative featured multiple fire safety workshops aimed at empowering Adani Electricity's power warriors. The theme for this year was "Unite to Ignite, a Fire Safe India," which highlighted the importance of community engagement, education, preparedness, and innovation in fire safety.
Earlier in March, the company acknowledged National Safety Week 2025, reinforcing its commitment to high safety standards as India advances in development.
The primary goal was to enhance awareness and promote the adoption of safety protocols across its power distribution network and various operational sites. Adani Electricity is recognized as the leading power distribution entity catering to over three million customers in Mumbai.
In preparation for the monsoon season, Adani Electricity has proactively upgraded its disaster management capabilities to protect its 3.15 million customers from potential service interruptions.
To tackle any emergencies that might arise during the monsoon, the company has activated its Central Disaster Control Centre (CDCC). This critical hub will coordinate response efforts and function around the clock, ensuring prompt action and communication throughout the monsoon period.
According to the company, Seven Quick Response Teams (QRTs) have been strategically positioned throughout the distribution network, equipped with detailed response, recovery, and restoration plans tailored to address the challenges posed by the monsoon season.
Moreover, to monitor increasing water levels, 98 advanced water level sensors have been integrated with the Advanced Distribution Management System in crucial locations. This system improves the capability to anticipate and respond to flood-related electrical hazards.
