New Delhi, Oct 23 (NationPress) Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, alongside his wife and daughter, visited Gurdwara Moti Bagh Sahib in New Delhi on Thursday to pay homage to the sacred Jore Sahib at the beginning of the “Charan Suhawe-Guru Charan Yatra.”
This visit was a significant occasion as the nation gears up for this momentous spiritual journey, which involves the transport of the sacred relics of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.
The Jore Sahib, the holy footwear of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, has been diligently preserved for over three centuries by the family of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri before being handed over to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.
Last Thursday, the Union Minister proclaimed that these sacred relics will be available for the sangat’s darshan at the birthplace of Guru Sahib, Takht Sri Patna Sahib.
In his official announcement, he noted that the Joda Sahib would journey from Delhi to Patna Sahib as part of the “Charan Suhawa, Guru Charan Yatra,” enabling devotees along the way to witness the sacred relic.
This relic symbolizes the humility, grace, and divine heritage of the Tenth Guru and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, serving as a profound reminder of their sacrifice, bravery, and compassion.
Its darshan motivates devotees to follow the Guru’s path of righteousness and altruism.
The Charan Suhawe Guru Charan Yatra will proceed from Delhi to Takht Sri Patna Sahib, passing through Faridabad, Agra, Bareilly, Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Sasaram, culminating on November 1 at the Guru’s birthplace in Patna.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his heartfelt wishes on Wednesday for the Guru Charan Yatra, invoking the enduring teachings and spiritual legacy of Sri Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur.
He encouraged citizens, especially those along the yatra route, to partake in this spiritual pilgrimage and witness the holy ‘Jore Sahib’.
