Jodhpur, Sep 21 (NationPress) The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, is set to arrive in Jodhpur today for the auspicious foundation stone laying ceremony of the new buildings at Shri Parsamal Bohra Netraheen Mahavidyalaya in Rajasthan. His arrival is scheduled for 3:50 p.m. at Jodhpur Airport, followed by his immediate transit to the college located in Ramraj Nagar at approximately 3:55 p.m.
Shah will officiate the ceremony from 4:10 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will later return to the airport by 5:50 p.m. to depart for Surat, Gujarat, at 5:55 p.m.
To ensure a safe visit, extensive security measures have been implemented, with over 400 police officers deployed along the route from Jodhpur Airport to the venue in Ramraj Nagar, Chokha.
The police force, including Police Commissioner Om Prakash and Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vineet Kumar Bansal, conducted a review of the security protocols on Friday evening.
DCP Bansal commented, "The visit by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday is significant as he lays the foundation stone for the college dedicated to the visually impaired in Ramraj Nagar. We are implementing stringent security arrangements and reviewing the route and overall safety measures."
The event will also see the presence of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
Established on August 15, 1977, Shri Parsamal Bohra Netraheen Mahavidyalaya began in an old temple building with just two students. Over the years, it has grown remarkably.
Currently, the institution serves 1,251 students and has provided education and training to 4,626 visually impaired, deaf, mute, and mentally challenged individuals, aiding them in their societal integration.
This visit comes shortly before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's planned trip to Rajasthan.
