Jaipur, Oct 13 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Jaipur on Monday, marking his third trip to Rajasthan in just three months. During this visit, he inaugurated a state-level exhibition focused on three new criminal laws at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC).
The exhibition celebrates the imminent implementation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, which are set to come into effect on July 1, 2024.
In attendance were Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa, along with numerous cabinet ministers.
HM Shah also launched a Forensic Science Lab (FSL) van, patrol scooters, and motorcycles aimed at bolstering women's safety.
Emphasizing the government's dedication to modern law enforcement, Shah initiated a session centered on utilizing digital tools to enhance policing. The newly introduced scooters and bikes are intended to empower women police officers and improve urban safety.
Additionally, he inaugurated and laid the groundwork for projects totaling over Rs 4 lakh crore, stemming from investment proposals received during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024.
Development initiatives worth Rs 9,300 crore were also announced across various sectors, including roads, infrastructure, and public welfare. A key feature of the event was the launch of registration for the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, providing 150 units of free electricity to households.
A digital transfer of Rs 260 crore for student uniform assistance and a Rs 364 crore subsidy for milk producers in the state were also revealed.
Shah stated in a post on X, 'Groundbreaking of investment proposals worth ₹4 lakh crore in Rajasthan, inauguration-foundation stone laying of development works worth ₹9,315 crore.'
This marks Shah's third visit since April of this year. Previously, on April 6, he addressed a public meeting in Pawta, Kotputli, and on July 17, he inaugurated the Cooperative Conference in Jaipur, followed by laying the foundation stone for the Parsmal Bohra Smriti Mahavidyalaya in Jodhpur on September 21.
