Bhopal, Aug 8 (NationPress) Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his allegations against the Election Commission of India (ECI) concerning vote theft. On Friday, Scindia emphasized that the Congress party has undermined the credibility of every significant institution in the nation, including the Army, the judiciary, and even the Prime Minister.
Although he didn't directly mention Rahul Gandhi, Scindia, who transitioned to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2020 after a lengthy association with Congress, questioned, 'Who in this country have they (Congress) not insulted?'
During his visit to Bhopal for an event, Scindia stated, 'They (Congress) disregard the dignity of our institutions. They challenge the credibility of our institutions and disrespects the Prime Minister.'
'Who hasn’t he (Rahul Gandhi) insulted until now? I believe he must answer this,' Scindia continued.
Scindia was in Bhopal to inaugurate the 'Shrewsbury International School' in Ratibad and met with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and State BJP Chief Hemant Khandelwal. He also encountered veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh during the event.
Alongside Scindia, several senior BJP leaders in Madhya Pradesh, including Chief Minister Yadav, criticized Rahul Gandhi for his remarks regarding the Election Commission on Thursday.
Chief Minister Yadav went further, labeling Rahul Gandhi as a 'man with an Urban Naxal mindset.'
He remarked that Rahul Gandhi has previously questioned the nation's judicial system, criticized the Armed Forces, and is now casting doubt on the Election Commission's credibility, which is vital to the country's democratic fabric.
'Rahul Gandhi's public attempt to tarnish the Election Commission's reputation reflects his mental bankruptcy. He embodies an Urban Naxal mindset,' Yadav stated in response to Gandhi's accusations of 'vote theft,' particularly concerning the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
Chief Minister Yadav, who succeeded former Chief Minister and current Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan after the BJP secured 163 out of 230 seats in the 2023 Assembly elections, criticized Rahul Gandhi and demanded that he issue a public apology.
