New Delhi, Dec 7 (NationPress) In a moving tribute to the valiant soldiers and veterans of the Indian Armed Forces, the Sapta Shakti Command of the Indian Army held the Honour Run in Jaipur on Sunday. This event celebrated the essence of courage, resilience, and national pride, attracting enthusiastic participants from both the military and civilian sectors.

The run kicked off at the historic Albert Hall Museum and traversed the lively routes of JLN Marg on a refreshing winter morning.

This Honour Run united a diverse assembly of veterans, serving personnel, NCC cadets, professional runners, para-athletes, families, and local residents, whose spirit and determination inspired everyone in attendance.

The various race categories, including 10 km and 5 km, were officially started by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, while the 21 km run was inaugurated by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Sapta Shakti Command, accompanied by senior dignitaries.

Their presence greatly motivated the participants and underscored the significance of honoring the nation’s veterans.

Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh encouraged the runners, stating that every step they take serves as a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who have devoted their lives to protecting the nation.

The Chief Minister also addressed the crowd, declaring that the Honour Run represents more than just a race; it embodies our patriotism and offers a meaningful chance to commemorate the valour and sacrifice of our heroes who have defended the nation from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

This grand event featured 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km timed races, with a total prize pool of Rs 22.7 lakh, promoting fitness and public involvement while recognizing outstanding performances.

Pre-event activities, such as a promotional run, a curtain-raiser, and a BIB Expo, generated significant excitement throughout the city.

The inspiring participation of para-athletes and veterans showcased the indomitable human spirit and resolve.

The event culminated in lively celebrations, reflecting the unity, pride, and respect that Jaipur’s citizens hold for the Armed Forces.

As a precursor to the forthcoming Army Day Parade 2026 planned in Jaipur, the Honour Run not only honored the sacrifices of our soldiers and veterans but also encouraged citizens to embrace the values of courage, discipline, service, and resilience.
