Patiala, April 5 (NationPress) The President of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Sukhbir Badal, declared on Sunday that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) will be held responsible for their alleged misdeeds following the 2027 assembly elections.

During the Punjab Bachao rally held in Patiala, Badal stated, “These corrupt individuals believe they can escape to countries like Canada and Australia where they have hidden their ill-gotten wealth. I want to assure them that they will be called back to face justice. They cannot evade accountability for their actions.”

When responding to a media question, Badal remarked that twisting traditional ‘kiklis’ (folk sequences) to target him would not benefit CM Mann.

He asserted that Mann can fabricate any number of ‘kiklis’ he desires, but this will not shield him from the anger of the Punjabis who are eager to hold him accountable for his betrayals.

“I dare Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to visit any village in Punjab without his entourage of 500 police officers and security details, which locks down the area and seizes weapons wherever he goes, as seen in Jaito today. Once he does this, the Punjabis will make him forget his trivial ‘kiklis’ for good!”

In response to queries regarding disaffected Akalis returning to the party, the SAD President urged every Punjabi to set aside their differences and unite under the banner of Punjab’s sole regional party. Together, we must defend Punjab from the plunderers of Delhi and restore the state’s pride and prosperity.”

Badal addressed the issue of false cases filed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, stating, “Once a SAD government is in place, we will form a committee led by a sitting judge to investigate all cases within three months. All false cases will be dismissed, and strict actions will be taken against the political figures and officials responsible for these registrations.”

He also commented on how the Congress party has consistently betrayed the people of Punjab, having nothing to show despite being in power for 25 years.

Badal noted that Capt Amarinder Singh, who served as Chief Minister for a decade, did not bother to visit a single ward or village in rural Patiala, while former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal held Sangat Darshan programs in every village.

He called for ‘panthic’ unity during the event and urged all Akalis to return to the party.

Discussing his vision for Punjab, Badal stated that government jobs would be reserved for Punjabis, unlike the AAP government, which has hired outsiders.

He added that the next SAD administration will welcome fresh investments but will mandate that at least 75% of employees in new units be Punjabis.

Additionally, he announced a scheme for youth that includes an interest-free loan of Rs 10 lakh and a 75% subsidy for establishing livestock farms.

Point of View

The political landscape in Punjab appears charged with accountability and unity calls. His challenge to CM Mann underscores the increasing scrutiny faced by the current administration, reflecting a growing demand from the public for transparency and integrity in governance. The forthcoming elections will be pivotal.
