Bhopal, Sep 13 (NationPress) Investor enthusiasm for the PM MITRA Textile Park located in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, has reached new heights ahead of its significant inauguration, with proposals totaling Rs 27,109 crore already submitted.
Prominent textile companies and industry coalitions have shown a keen interest in launching operations at the park, indicating a forthcoming wave of industrial growth and job creation in Madhya Pradesh.
The initiative is anticipated to generate approximately 300,000 jobs—100,000 direct and 200,000 indirect—while enhancing the value of cotton for farmers and invigorating rural economies.
This surge in investment reflects a strong vote of confidence in the park’s infrastructure and advantageous location.
“Proposals worth Rs 27,109 crore have already been received,” asserted state government officials.
Major textile organizations and industry groups have indicated considerable interest in establishing operations at the park, they added.
Spanning 2,158 acres in Bhainsola village, the PM MITRA Park features top-notch amenities such as a 20 MLD common effluent treatment plant, a 10 MVA solar power unit, a dependable water and electricity supply, modern road connectivity, and 81 plug-and-play industrial units.
Worker accommodations and social facilities further elevate it to a model industrial township. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the park on September 17, coinciding with his 75th birthday.
This event signifies a historic milestone not just for Madhya Pradesh but for India’s textile sector as a whole. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav termed the inauguration a moment of international recognition for the diligent efforts of farmers, calling the park “the cornerstone of Madhya Pradesh’s industrial future.”
The PM MITRA initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of “Farm to Fiber, Factory to Fashion, and Fashion to Foreign.”
The Dhar park aims to consolidate the entire textile value chain at a single location—transforming raw cotton into yarn, textiles, garments, and ultimately, exports.
This integrated model is expected to revolutionize cotton-based industries and establish Madhya Pradesh as a global textile hub.
As a leading player in cotton production, Madhya Pradesh contributes nearly 2.4 million tonnes annually across 600,000 hectares, with 40% of India’s organic cotton originating from the state. With the PM MITRA Park, Dhar is set to emerge as the focal point for India’s textile activities.
