New Delhi, Nov 14 (NationPress) In anticipation of the vote counting for the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha performed prayers at the Ashok Dham temple located in Lakhisarai on Friday.
Sinha is not only the Deputy Chief Minister but also the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate contesting for the Lakhisarai Assembly seat in this election. He has been serving in this role since January 2024.
Footage from the event, provided by IANS, captured Sinha engaging in puja (worship) at the temple. He expressed optimism regarding the democratic process and the public’s choice. His main rivals include Amresh Kumar from the Congress party and Suraj Kumar from Jan Suraaj.
Exit polls suggest that the NDA is likely to secure an advantage, creating a positive atmosphere within the alliance.
Conversely, RJD spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwari has voiced strong confidence in the Mahagathbandhan’s performance, claiming that a government change is on the horizon.
“The moment Bihar has been awaiting has arrived. I am entirely confident in our success. Predictions aside, today’s results will favor us. The Nitish government is on its way out, and the new Mahagathbandhan government led by Tejashwi Yadav is set to take charge…” Tiwari stated to IANS, emphasizing that the electorate has voted decisively.
He asserted that the mandate will facilitate Tejashwi Yadav’s government, declaring that the long-anticipated moment for Bihar has finally come as the counting commences.
The stage is now prepared for a pivotal day in Bihar, with the counting of votes for the Assembly elections underway. With comprehensive arrangements and strict protocols in place to ensure transparency, the Election Commission of India (ECI) is geared up to conduct a smooth and credible counting process across the state.
Counting will occur across all 243 Assembly constituencies. As per officials, 243 Returning Officers (ROs) will supervise the process, assisted by 243 Counting Observers, in the presence of contesting candidates and their authorized representatives. A total of 4,372 counting tables have been established, each staffed by a counting supervisor, an assistant, and a micro-observer. Over 18,000 counting agents appointed by candidates will oversee the counting process to ensure fairness and transparency.
